Matthias Pfriem

Matthias Pfriem is a Senior Product Manager at PTV Group since May 2021, focusing on microscopic multimodal traffic simulation with PTV Vissim and pedestrian simulation with PTV Viswalk. Prior to this role, Matthias served as a Senior Account Executive and Clustermanager at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from December 2010 to April 2021, where responsibilities included establishing and coordinating the interdisciplinary research network "Profilregion Mobilitätssysteme Karlsruhe," addressing topics such as alternative drives, automated and connected driving, lightweight construction, and societal and traffic-related issues. Additionally, Matthias worked as an academic staff member at KIT, conducting research on electric and hybrid electric vehicles. Matthias holds a Dr.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering (Vehicle Technology) and a Diplom in Industrial Engineering, both from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
