Carlos Urrutia

Carlos Urrutia has extensive experience in labor organization and advocacy, having served as a former Senior Organizer with the Service Employees International Union, Local 888 since August 1987. Urrutia has also worked as Support Staff at Heluna Health since May 2021 and held the position of Union Organizer for various unions, including USWW, Unite Here, Liuna, UHW, and SEIU 521, from August 1987 to March 2021. In this capacity, Urrutia has been instrumental in identifying, recruiting, training, and representing workers in the service industry. Urrutia's education includes studies at DVC and Laney College, enhancing the skills and knowledge brought to the labor sector.
