Josephine Coakley has over 14 years of experience in their field. Josephine started their career as a Law Clerk at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of N.Y. in 2005 and then moved on to work as a Law Clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in 2006. Josephine joined Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in 2007 as an Associate, where they worked on trademark assignments and licensing agreements, winning a trademark cancellation ruling. In 2013, they joined Publicis Re:Sources as the VP & Managing Counsel, providing legal counseling to creative advertising agencies on various matters such as false advertising, copyright, trademark, and user-generated content best practices. Josephine also drafted and negotiated a wide range of business agreements.

Josephine Coakley double majored in English and History at Yale University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. Josephine then pursued a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree at Columbia Law School. Prior to their university education, Josephine attended Cranford High School in Cranford, NJ. Additionally, they have obtained certifications that allow their to practice law in New York and New Jersey, as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
