Calvin Reid

Calvin Reid is a senior news editor at Publishers Weekly, a position held since January 1986. With extensive experience in the book publishing industry, Calvin specializes in general book publishing, African American literature, digital publishing, indie and self-publishing, as well as comics and graphic novels. Educated at Virginia Commonwealth University, Calvin earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Printmaking from 1978 to 1980, and previously obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Art Education from Howard University, where studies were completed from 1970 to 1977.
