Isha Khanna, Ph.D., is an accomplished air quality scientist with extensive experience in air quality assessment and management. Currently serving at the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency since July 2019, Isha manages a greenhouse gas emission inventory project in collaboration with King County and conducts data analysis for air quality trends. Previously, as an associate fellow at The Energy and Resources Institute, Isha led a South Asia project focused on air pollution in India, Nepal, and Bangladesh, while also developing an index for assessing air quality improvements. Isha's early career includes research roles at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, where work involved ambient air quality monitoring and source apportionment projects in collaboration with UK institutions. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Chemical Characterization and Source Apportionment of PM2.5 from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, a Master's in Environmental Studies from TERI School of Advanced Studies, and a Bachelor's in Biomedical Sciences from Delhi University.

The Agency’s vision is healthy air, climate, and environmental justice for the benefit of all people in the Puget Sound region. The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency is a regional government agency created in 1967. Our jurisdiction covers King, Kitsap, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. We achieve our mission by monitoring air quality, sponsoring voluntary initiatives, educating people and businesses about air quality issues, and enforcing state and federal air quality laws.
