Mark Varner

Supervisor, Operational Training at Puget Sound Energy

Mark Varner is an experienced professional in operational training and emergency preparedness, currently serving as Supervisor of Operational Training and Program Manager of Emergency Preparedness Training at Puget Sound Energy since March 2016. Previously, Mark held the position of Human Resources Consultant Assistant 2 at the Washington State Department of Corrections for a brief period. Mark's extensive background includes leadership roles at NOPF Whidbey Island as an Ocean Systems Watch Officer and Project Manager, overseeing a team of 16 military technicians, as well as experience on the USS MOMSEN DDG 92 managing 22 shipboard personnel in radar and communications. Mark began career training and readiness efforts at NOPF Whidbey Island serving 110 US and Canadian military personnel. Mark holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Strayer University.
