Catherine Becker has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Catherine began their career in 1990 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, where they worked as an Emergency Department Technician and later became a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. In 1994, they joined Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, where they worked as a Registered Nurse in both the Emergency Department and Critical Care. In 1998, they moved to Samaritan Healthcare, where they worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department until 2006. During this time, they also worked at Legacy Health/ Trauma Nurses Talk Tough as a Registered Nurse/Program Coordinator - Instructor. In 2005, they worked at Grant County Health District and Safe Kids Worldwide as a Registered Nurse and Program Co-Coordinator. In 2006, they joined Pullman Regional Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department and later became a Registered Nurse Pediatric Care Coordinator. Catherine worked there until 2017, at which point they joined Providence Health & Services as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Emergency Department. In 2020, they briefly worked at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital as an Intensive Care Nurse. Overall, Catherine Becker has a strong background in emergency and pediatric nursing.

Catherine Becker's education history begins in 1987 when they attended Seattle Pacific University to study Pre-Nursing Studies. In 1988, they obtained a certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from Yakima Valley College. The following year, in 1989, they pursued Pre-Nursing Studies at Washington State University. In 1990, they briefly studied Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT) at Central Washington University.

From 1991 to 1993, Catherine earned an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Yakima Valley College. After completing their associate's degree, they worked as a registered nurse for several years. In 2016, they enrolled at Western Governors University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse in 2018.

Catherine also holds additional certifications: Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) from the Emergency Nurses Association, obtained in 2017, Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) from the Emergency Nurses Association, obtained in 1998, and Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) from the Society of Pediatric Nurses, obtained in 2017.
