Mario Kalenda has worked in the IT industry since 2006. Mario started their career at IBM as an SME Business Operations Team (ECLE) where they provided ongoing training, support and daily workload allocation to the team members, monitored the quality of work and handled escalations to the team leader and managers. In 2007, they moved to Dun & Bradstreet where they were a Technical Support Advisor, assisting employees and external customers with setting up login accounts and providing basic troubleshooting on various in-house applications. From 2008 to 2013, Mario worked at Symantec as a Sr. Customer Support Representative, where their main role was to act as a hub between engineers and customers who required technical support in their native tongue. Mario provided technical assistance on Backup Exec, Symantec System Recovery and Enterprise Vault. From 2013 to 2018, they were a Technical Support Engineer at Veritas Technologies LLC, where they provided first and second line support for one of the company's flagship software (i.e. Enterprise Vault). Most recently, Mario has worked as a Global Escalation Engineer at Pulse Secure since 2020.
Mario Kalenda began their educational journey in 2004 when they enrolled in Applied Computer Science at Erasmushogeschool Brussel. In 2008, they obtained a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification from Microsoft, and in 2010 they earned a Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) certification from Microsoft.
