Geet Patel

Hardware Design Engineer at Pulsenics

Geet Patel started working as a Hardware Design Engineer at Pulsenics Inc in July 2023. They are involved in developing in-line characterization and controls capabilities for the energy-intensive electrochemical industry.

Prior to that, Geet worked at FSAE Electric Racing at UC Irvine. From April 2020 to June 2021, they served as the Chief Electrical Engineer, leading a team of 50 members to design and build an electric racecar. They collaborated with the Chief Mechanical Engineer and integrated various components.

From July 2019 to April 2020, Geet worked as an Electrical Engineer in the same team. They were responsible for the safety shutdown circuit, which checked and reacted to faults related to the battery and motors. They also designed and improved the reliability of the circuit, focusing on the Battery Management System (BMS), high voltage & low voltage Insulation Monitoring Device (IMD), and Brake System Plausibility Device (BSPD).

Geet Patel received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering & Electrical Engineering from UC Irvine, where they studied from 2016 to 2021. They are currently pursuing a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering - Robotics at the University of Toronto, with an expected completion date in 2023.
