Xavier Rottenberg

Xavier Rottenberg is a distinguished expert in photonics, acoustics, RF, and MEMS, with extensive experience in developing microsystems for various applications, including life sciences and industrial sensing. As Co-Founder and Technical Advisor at Pulsify Medical since June 2019, Xavier has played a crucial role in establishing the medtech venture and securing seed investment. At imec since November 2000, Xavier has held multiple senior positions, currently serving as Fellow and Scientific Director, where responsibilities include leading the development of wave-based and PhoXonic microsystems and sensors. Previous research experience includes a role at The Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium, focusing on remote sensing algorithms. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Micro-Electronics from KU Leuven and a DEA in Theoretical Physics from Université libre de Bruxelles.
