William Soulé

Assistant Strategic Communications Director at Purdue Athletics

William Soulé has a diverse work experience in the field of athletics communications and media. William started their career as an intern at Griffin Communications, where they shadowed reporters and producers and gained experience in shooting and editing video packages. William then worked as an intern at the University of Oklahoma, completing general assignments for various sports programs and assisting with stats collection and media interactions. William also served as a sports anchor and reporter for OU Nightly, the university's daily news broadcast.

Following that, Soulé joined GamedayU as an anchor, where they covered the OU football team. William also co-hosted The DNP Show. William further expanded their experience as a communications coordinator for the Valero Alamo Bowl, where they handled content production for the Bowl's website and social media platforms. William'srole involved coordinating social media strategies and designing media guides.

Soulé continued to advance their career at various universities, including Oral Roberts University, Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and the University of Oklahoma. At these institutions, they held roles as an athletic communications intern, sports information graduate assistant, and athletics communications research fellow, respectively. Currently, they are serving as the Assistant Director of Strategic Communications at Purdue Athletics.

William Soulé attended the University of Oklahoma from 2015 to 2020, where they pursued a degree in Sports Management and Journalism. During their time at the University of Oklahoma, they did not specialize in any specific field of study. In 2018, they also briefly attended the University of Reading, although it is not specified whether they obtained a degree or pursued any particular field of study there.

In addition to their formal education, William Soulé has obtained several certifications from LinkedIn. In September 2021, they obtained the certification in "Social Media Marketing: Strategy and Optimization."
