Karen Laurel

Vice President, Human Resources at Purdue Pharma

Karen Laurel has a solid background in human resources, with significant experience in various roles. Karen started their career in Middlesex Health as a Human Resources Business Partner from 1992 to 1997. Karen then moved to Bayer Corporation and worked as a Senior Human Resources Representative for the Pharmaceutical Division from 1997 to 1999. From 1999 to 2016, they worked at Purdue Pharma L.P. in various roles such as Associate Director, Human Resources; Director, Organization Development; and Senior Director, Human Resources. In 2016, they joined Sikorsky as a Human Resources Client Manager for Global Military and Commercial Systems & Services. And in 2017, they returned to Purdue Pharma L.P. as the Vice President of Human Resources.

Karen Laurel completed a non-degree program in Executive Education at The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 2008. Karen also pursued a post-graduate program in HR Organizational Development (HROD) at Columbia University. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in HR Management from Rensselaer at Work and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration from Bryant University. Karen has additional certifications in Career Architect from Lominger International and MBTI from Type Resources.
