Karen Wiseman

Karen Wiseman is an experienced professional in regulatory and compliance functions, currently serving at Bear Down Brands since June 2020, focusing on OTC medical devices and the implementation of an MDSAP Certified Quality Management System. As President of Peaceful Harvest Mushrooms LLC, established in November 2014, Karen oversees the offering of certified organic and ethically wildcrafted medicinal mushrooms. Previous roles include regulatory and compliance positions at Verilux and as General Manager at Highfields Center for Composting. Karen's engineering background includes significant experience in manufacturing and project management, with a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and certifications in project management and herbal medicine. Additional education includes a Clinical Herbalist Certificate from the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism and ongoing studies at the Wisdom of the Herbs School.
