Ketian Zhang has worked in the field of polymer science since 2012. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Peking University and University of Michigan. At Peking University, they conducted organic synthesis and electrochemistry research. At University of Michigan, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. From 2014 to 2019, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they invented a OH-conducting polymer membrane for alkaline water electrolysis and a highly transparent polymer composite membrane. Since 2019, they have been working as a Lead Scientist at VERI Nano, where they led the research and development of a long-lasting antimicrobial coating product and invented a hydrogel for the prevention of mastitis in dairy cows. In 2022, they will become a Senior Polymer Scientist at Pure Lithium Corporation.
Ketian Zhang began their educational journey in 2010 when they earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Peking University. Ketian then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2018. In the same year, they also earned a Minor in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology - Sloan School of Management.
