Mathulah Sriskandarajah

R & D Scientist at Purespring Therapeutics

Mathulah Sriskandarajah's work experience begins in 2015 when they worked as a Postgraduate Researcher at the University of Nottingham, focusing on the secretion and function of surface amino peptides in Pseudomonas aeruginosa. In 2017, they worked as a Research Assistant at Ray Collins (University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka), where they played a key role in a project on the impact of dietary Omega3 on aging and longevity. Mathulah also contributed to the establishment of an animal house and gained managerial skills as a representative of the project's funder. From 2013 to 2017, they worked as an Assistant Biologist under individual researcher Ray Collins, where they developed a laboratory in Sri Lanka and collaborated with local universities. In 2018, they worked as a Laboratory Technician at LGC Genomics Division, focusing on DNA extraction and quantification. In 2020, they joined The Regenerative Clinic as a Senior Laboratory Technician and COVID-19 Testing Coordinator, and later became a Lab Tech Team Lead. Currently, they are working at Purespring Therapeutics as an R&D Scientist.

Mathulah Sriskandarajah has a High School degree from J/ Methodist Girls' High School, which they obtained between 2002 and 2007. Mathulah then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology at the University of Madras between 2009 and 2012. Following that, Mathulah completed a Post Graduate degree in Molecular Genetics and Diagnostics at the University of Nottingham from 2014 to 2015. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's degree in Bioinformatics at Birkbeck, University of London, which they expect to complete between 2021 and 2023.
