Associate Scientist at Purilogics

Emily Gessner has worked in a variety of roles and companies. Emily is currently working as an Associate Scientist at Purilogics, LLC since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Quality Control Analyst at Thermo Fisher Scientific from July 2020 to April 2021. In this role, they conducted chemical and physical tests on pharmaceuticals using various analysis methods. Before joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, Emily worked at Clemson University as an Undergraduate Student Researcher from August 2018 to July 2020. Emily conducted research in an environmental toxicology lab, focusing on the effects of toxicants on lipid metabolism and the reproductive fitness of organisms. Emily also served as the lead investigator for chronic toxicity tests. Additionally, Emily was a UPIC Intern at Clemson University from August 2019 to May 2020, where they continued their toxicology research and supervised other lab members.

Emily Gessner pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with a minor in Genetics, from Clemson University. Emily attended the university from 2016 to 2020, completing their undergraduate education there.
