Jesse Sfetsas has worked in a variety of roles in the engineering and manufacturing industry since 2014. In 2021, they began working as an Application Engineer at PURO™ Lighting. From 2018-2021, they were a Lead Manufacturing Engineer at Current, powered by GE, where they developed and managed product cost estimates and capital tooling estimates, led teams in developing production procedures/processes, and managed multiple projects. From 2017-2018, they were the CEO & Lead Designer at Colorado Engineering Design LLC, where they were a contract mechanical designer specializing in design for manufacturability & assemble and design for additive manufacturing. From 2017-2018, they were a Design and Process Engineer at Phase2 Partners - N.A. Innovation and Mfg Solutions. From 2015-2017, they were the Deputy Program Manager at Colorado Helps Advanced Manufacturing Program-CHAMP, where they were responsible for statistical analysis, grant research, and government relations coordination. Finally, from 2014-2015, they were a Manufacturing Lab Assistant at Metropolitan State University of Denver, where they assisted lab coordinators with day-to-day projects and designed and built necessary components for manufacturing machines.
Jesse Sfetsas earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) from Harford Community College in 2014, with a field of study in General Engineering. Jesse then went on to Metropolitan State University of Denver, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering Technology with a Math Minor in Manufacturing Engineering. In December 2015, Jesse obtained an Advanced Composite Materials & Manufacturing certification from ABET, and is currently working towards an Additive Manufacturing Engineering certification.
