Matt Leonard

Matt Leonard has over 20 years of experience in the marketing industry. Matt began their career in 1993 as Vice President/President of Ace Financial Services, Inc., where they grew the 3-store family business into an 85-location, diversified, Financial Services leader. In 2001, they founded Thumbwrestle, LLC & Certified Call Center, LLC, a marketing agency specializing in both Digital Services and early-stage mobile marketing (SMS). In 2008, they joined TripAdvisor as Director - Traffic Acquisition & Revenue Management, where they built and managed teams responsible for growing multiple brands through SEO, SEM, CRM, CRO, and Revenue Management. In 2014, they became VP of Growth & Distribution at The Motley Fool, where they managed Fool.com growth through a team of 400 financial writers, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and the world's largest investing community. In 2016, they joined ClassPass as Director - Acquisition & Web, and was responsible for the strategic direction and team management of Paid Acquisition, Organic Search, Price Optimization, and CRO, along with accompanying P&L responsibilities. In 2018, they were appointed VP of Marketing at Codecademy, where they were responsible for elevating the Codecademy brand. In 2019, they joined Grubhub as Senior Director Of Marketing, where their team of 50+ talented marketers located in NY, Chicago, and SF were responsible for Grubhub's total order volume. In 2021, they became Senior Vice President Marketing at Rockbot, where they were responsible for empowering tens of thousands of businesses, of all sizes, to level up their in-store experience using Music, TV, and Digital Signage. In 2022, they were appointed Chief Marketing Officer at Purple Carrot.
