Crystal Benton

Crystal Benton serves as the Managing Director and Head of the Communications Group at Purple Strategies since October 2017. Benton has an extensive background in communications, previously holding positions such as Senior Vice President at Weber Shandwick and Communications Director for the USO of Metropolitan Washington. Additionally, Benton worked with John McCain's campaign in various roles, including Deputy Communications Director and NH Press Secretary. Experience also includes serving as Press Secretary for the US Senate under John McCain. Alongside professional responsibilities, Benton has contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at The George Washington University, teaching a graduate course in Crisis Communication. Benton holds a BA in Political Journalism and Magazine Editing from Emerson College, complementing a robust career in strategic communications.
