Mr. Nitin Sood is a seasoned professional with 20+ years of experience in consulting and operating roles.
He joined PVR in 2001 and has played a pivotal role in building the organization from a start-up stage to one of the premier entertainment companies in India. He took over the role of a CFO in 2008.
He has been instrumental in funding the growth plans of the company by raising capital from Banks, Institutions & Private Equity investors. He has led three M&A transactions for the group including acquisition of Cinemax in 2012, DT Cinemas in 2016 and SPI cinemas in 2018 to propel PVR into the largest multiplex brands in the country. The laurels to his name include; “Best CFO – Excellence in Mergers & Acquisitions” award by ET Now, “CFO of the year award – in Services and Hospitality Sector” as part of the national awards for ‘CFO Excellence’ in 2016, “Most Influential CFOs of India” by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 2015
A graduate from Delhi University, India and a qualified Chartered Accountant oversees the finance, accounting, legal and compliance for the company and is also responsible for M&A, fund raising and strategic business expansion opportunities for the company.
