Nils Nehrenheim has extensive experience in leadership and community service roles. Since June 2017, Nils has served as Past President and President of the ICA Independent Cities Association, a nonprofit focused on public safety, education, and infrastructure among nearly 40 member cities in Southern California. Nils is a co-founder of Authentic Offer, an innovative online marketplace established in March 2019 for residential real estate transactions. Additionally, Nils is currently serving a second term as a Councilmember for District 1 in the City of Redondo Beach. Nils has operated The Computer Chief since December 1999, providing computer services to small businesses and home offices. Nils also has a long-standing role as an Ocean Lifeguard with the Los Angeles County Fire Department since June 1996, and as a Commercial Pyrotechnic Operator with Pyro Spectaculars by Souza since June 2002, where responsibilities include planning and executing professional firework displays.

Known for designing and producing thousands of fireworks displays every year around the world, Pyro Spectaculars by Souza has been responsible for the special effects at multiple Olympic Games, NFL Super Bowls, MLB World Series and Bowl Championship Series games. In addition, Pyro Spectaculars annually produces the two largest Fourth of July fireworks celebrations in the United States, the Macy*s Fourth of July spectacular in New York and Americafest in Pasadena.
