Dave Nielsen

Dave Nielsen has a diverse work history spanning several companies and roles. Dave is currently the Vice President - SAP Line of Business at Pythian, where they lead global sales and go-to-market initiatives for SAP and Oracle EBS ERP solutions. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director - Global ERP Sales at Pythian, where they excelled in helping businesses use data and cloud solutions to solve data challenges.

Before joining Pythian, Dave worked as the Regional Sales Director at Nutanix from 2019 to 2021. Dave also held the position of Director of Enterprise Sales - West Region at Rackspace from 2009 to 2019, where they built and led the Rackspace Enterprise field sales team in the Western US.

At IBM, Dave served as the National Sales Manager- Applications on Demand from 2005 to 2009, leading the national sales team for IBM's OnDemand Hosting and Applications management offerings.

Prior to IBM, Dave was the Vice President Sales - Western Region at Corio, Inc., where they were part of the founding management team and played a significant role in the company's initial sales activities.

Dave also gained valuable experience at DSCI, where they served as the Vice President - System Integration Services from 1994 to 1998, and at Unisys, where they started their career as a Branch Sales Manager, managing a sales team focused on Fortune 1000 commercial accounts in the San Francisco Bay Area. Dave's extensive work experience demonstrates their expertise in sales, enterprise solutions, and cloud technologies.

Dave Nielsen received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from California State University, Fresno. Dave has also obtained certifications from SAP, including "Explore SAP Datasphere - Record of Achievement" in 2023 and "SAP on Hyperscalers – Strategy, Architecture, and Deployment" in 2021.
