Mahmood Sayed

Mahmood Sayed has a diverse range of work experience, beginning in 2001 as a Senior Assistant Scientist at Monsanto. From 2005 to 2011, they worked as a Computer Project Manager at Duke University Health System. Mahmood then transitioned to Duke University, where they served as a Senior Systems Programmer, Research Support from 2011 to 2015. In 2015, Mahmood took on the role of HPC Admin at CDI Talent & Technology Solutions for a brief period before joining Attain as a Specialist in HPC, Infrastructure, and Cloud. At Attain, they held various responsibilities, including leading a team of DBAs supporting the SEC EDGAR Database environment and leading a SysAdmin team for the National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences. In 2019, Mahmood joined Q² Solutions as the Director of IT, contributing to global business transformation efforts.

Mahmood Sayed completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Miami from 1995 to 1999. Following that, they pursued Computer Science during their time at North Carolina State University from 2000 to 2004. As for certifications, Mahmood obtained the Scrum Master Certified (SMC) credential from Scrum Inc. in September 2021. Additionally, they earned a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (ICYB) certification from The Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC) in 2019 and an ITIL Foundations certification from PeopleCert in 2018.
