Victor Sedin

Victor Sedin has a strong background in information security, with their most recent position being as the Chief Information Security Officer at Qapital since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Security Officer at Worldline Global from November 2020 to August 2021. Before joining Worldline, Victor held the role of Security Specialist at Bambora, where they were responsible for the PCI-DSS compliance program and Information Security Risk Management. Victor's career began as an Information Security Consultant at Simovits Consulting in October 2016, where they worked until April 2020.

Victor Sedin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2010-2013. Victor then went on to obtain a Master of Science degree in Engineering Physics, with a focus on Theoretical Physics Track, from the same institute in 2013-2016. In terms of certifications, they obtained the GIAC Python Coder (GPYC) certification from GIAC Certifications in January 2022, and the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2022. Victor also holds the GIAC Assessing and Auditing Wireless Networks (GAWN) certification, which they obtained in March 2019, and the GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED) certification, which they obtained in December 2017. Additionally, they have served on the GIAC Advisory Board since 2017.
