Head Of Exhibitions Project Management at Qatar Museums Authority

Mercedes Navarro Tito has extensive experience in the field of museums and exhibitions. Mercedes has held various roles, starting from their most recent position as Head of Exhibitions Project Management at Qatar Museums since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Museum Content and Object Installation Manager at UCC - APD JV from February 2020 to October 2020.

Mercedes also worked at Urbacon Contracting & Trading - Acciona Producciones y Diseño JV as a Senior Museum Objects and Mounts Specialist from May 2019 to February 2020. Before that, they served as a Museum Content Manager at ACCIONA Producciones y Diseño, where they managed asset procurement for the Media and coordinated with suppliers and production teams.

In addition, Mercedes has experience as a Museologist at Boris Micka Associates and has worked as a Freelance Consultant in Museum Planning and Content Development. Mercedes has also held important roles at ACCIONA Producciones y Diseño, where they were a Content Manager for various projects, including the "Solar Innovation Center" and the "National Museum of the Sultanate of Oman."

Mercedes began their career as the Manager of the Spanish office at the Spanish Committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM). Throughout their work experience, they have demonstrated strong organizational and coordination skills, as well as expertise in museum planning, content management, and artifact installation.

Mercedes Navarro Tito obtained their Bachelor's degree in History from the Universidad de Alicante, specializing in Prehistory, Ancient History, and Archaeology. Mercedes also pursued a postgraduate course in Iberoamerican Cultural Cooperation at the Universidad de Barcelona, focusing on project planning, development, and execution, as well as cultural laws. In addition, they attained a Magister degree in Museum Techniques and Exhibitions from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where they studied museum techniques, museology, design, and the fit-out of exhibitions, as well as the handling of works of art. Furthermore, they completed a course on the European Union at the Diplomatic School of Madrid and obtained a specialist certificate in Preventive Conservation from Udima Universidad a Distancia de Madrid.
