Adam Ftaya

Adam Ftaya is an experienced educator currently serving as a Teacher at School District 47 in Powell River since October 2022. Prior roles include Employment Coordinator at the Student Association of the Nelson-Marlborough Institute of Technology, where Adam facilitated career development for students through seminars and personalized support. Adam has also worked as a Facilities and Safety Coordinator at Cedar Coast Field Station, contributing to the launch of the field station by developing Risk Management and Emergency Action Plans. Other experiences encompass logistics coordination for charitable projects, horticulture work, and roles in both commercial fishing and educational support. Adam holds a Bachelor of Education from The University of British Columbia, a Master’s Degree in Land and Water Systems, and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Physical Geography from Queen's University.
