Jessica Koop M.ed

Jessica Koop, M.Ed, currently serves as an online learning teacher, SOGI Lead, and Communications at PIE for qathet School District (SD47) since August 2021, where responsibilities include developing French immersion online courses and creating newsletters and social media content. From August 2011 to July 2021, Jessica was a primary French Immersion teacher at James Thomson Elementary in qathet School District 47 and was recognized as the winner of the 2012 BC Green Games. Previous experiences encompass tutoring and teaching English as a Second Language to diverse groups, including refugees and international students, as well as work as a swim instructor and lifeguard. Jessica holds multiple degrees, including a Master's in Education from Vancouver Island University and a Bachelor's in Education from the University of Ottawa, and has completed several additional qualifications in French language and teaching methodologies.
