Director - Customer Experience & Strategy at Qawafel

Rakan Tashkandi has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Rakan founded Flow Ventures in 2018 and currently serves as its founder. In 2019, they worked as an Independent Consultant for Badir Program. From 2013 to 2018, Rakan worked at Dopravo, first as a Digital Experience Consultant and later as a Digital Strategy professional. In 2013, they were a Business Development Manager at Marubeni Corporation. Rakan also worked as an Account Manager at eDesign from 2011 to 2013 and as a Co-op Trainee at Zuhair Fayez Partnership from 2010 to 2011. Currently, Rakan is the Director of Customer Experience at Qawafel, focusing on building a proper customer care function and overseeing customer experience across various departments. Additionally, they serve as the Director of New Venture at CyberME Studio since 2021.

Rakan Tashkandi completed their B.Sc degree in Information Systems from Prince Sultan University, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Highschool Diploma from Andalus Private School Jeddah and attended Riyadh AlSaliheen.

In addition to their formal education, Rakan has obtained several certifications. In 2011, they completed the Mckinsey Edad Program from McKinsey & Company. In 2014, they obtained certifications in Oracle|Eloqua Marketing Cloud Service 2013 Sales Specialist, Oracle| Social Relationship Management Pre-Sales Certification, Oracle|Eloqua Marketing Cloud Service 2013 Pre Sales Specialist, Google Analytics, and Google AdWords Certification. Furthermore, in 2017, they received the Gamification: Creating Addictive User Experiences (Top 10% Distinction) certification from The Interaction Design Foundation. Most recently, in June 2021, they completed the Emerging Manager Program: Venture Capital Foundation Training from Jada Fund of Funds.
