Sjoerd Hoogland

Sjoerd Hoogland is the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Research and Development at QD Solar Inc., leading efforts in developing low-cost solar cells. sjoerd also serves as the Director of Research, Technology, and Innovation at the University of Toronto, managing research projects on photovoltaics and collaborating with industry partners. With a background in laser physics and physics, Sjoerd Hoogland has a strong expertise in nanomaterials and optoelectronic applications in solar technology. Prior roles include positions at InVisage Technologies, Inc., and previous research fellowships at the University of Toronto.
