Nirali Shah

Nirali Shah has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and industries. Nirali currently holds the position of Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Qenta Inc., where they started in May 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of Sustainability at Qenta Inc. from February 2019 to August 2021.

Before joining Qenta Inc., Nirali worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Responsible Gold, a conflict-free and responsibly sourced gold company. In this role, which they started in March 2021, they were responsible for executing the company's strategy and managing various teams.

Nirali has also held positions at Deloitte UK and Deloitte South Africa. At Deloitte UK, they served as a Director in the Energy & Resources practice, specializing in sustainability services. Their responsibilities included developing methodologies and leading multinational sustainability assurance engagements for major clients in the mining and energy sectors. Nirali held this position from September 2014 to January 2019. At Deloitte South Africa, Nirali worked as a Senior Manager and Global Practice Lead for responsible sourcing compliance services from February 2012 to June 2014.

Before their time at Deloitte, Nirali worked at KPMG South Africa and KPMG UK. At KPMG South Africa, they served as a Senior Manager, leading sustainability assurance and climate change services for clients in the mining industry. This role lasted from November 2007 to February 2012. At KPMG UK, they held the role of Manager in sustainability assurance and also worked as a Financial Audit Trainee/Assistant Manager. Their clients at KPMG included major companies in the energy and natural resources sectors, such as Shell, BP, and Anglo American.

Throughout their career, Nirali Shah has developed expertise in sustainability, responsible sourcing, supply chain management, and corporate non-financial reporting. Nirali has demonstrated a track record of driving growth and successfully overseeing complex projects in the financial and resources sectors.

Nirali Shah pursued their education at the University of Bristol from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Accounting with Spanish. Following that, from 2001 to 2004, they attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales, where they obtained the ACA qualification.
