Olivia Alder is an experienced professional in the life sciences and bioinformatics fields, currently serving as the Manager of Discovery Field Application Scientists at QIAGEN since May 2018, focusing on helping researchers extract insights from omic data and advocating for clean data practices. Previously, Olivia worked as a Solution Scientist at Clarivate Analytics, consulting with industry leaders to address challenges in data interpretation and enhance patient outcomes. Prior roles include Bioinformatician at the University of Leeds, where Olivia integrated diverse genomic data types, and a Post-doctoral Fellow at BC Cancer Agency, analyzing ChIP-Seq and RNA-Seq data. Olivia holds a PhD from Imperial College London, where research focused on the epigenetic regulation of developmental genes.
