Manager - Implementation Management at QIC

Steve Greig has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Steve started their career at HSBC Global Banking and Markets as a Senior Administrator, where they were involved in inter-bank money market deposit dealing and FX trading. Steve then moved on to Standard Bank Group as an Assistant Manager in the Securities Department. After that, they worked at RBC as a Manager in Securities Operations for six years.

In 2005, Steve joined QIC as a Manager in Implementation Management. In this role, they were responsible for the operational implementation of new product launches, client on-boarding, process changes, portfolio transitions, and restructures. Steve managed stakeholders through change initiatives and ensured timely implementation of new initiatives and product implementations. Steve also had in-depth knowledge of all asset classes and surrounding processes. Additionally, Steve managed third-party service providers, including change initiatives, costs, and service standards. Steve served as the Project Manager for the on-boarding of QIC to the OTC Central Clearing platform and conformity to regulatory reporting regulations. Notably, they successfully implemented the largest transition project involving over 40,000 transactions and A$21bn in assets. Steve received a level 5 audit rating from Ernst & Young, the highest level.
