Joanna M. Wasielewska, PhD, is an experienced scientist specializing in cellular and molecular neurodegeneration with a strong background in patient-derived models and drug screening. Currently serving as a Scientist in Discovery Services at Inventia Life Science, Joanna previously held a Research Officer (Postdoc) position at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, where significant accomplishments included the establishment of iPSC-based blood-brain barrier models for Alzheimer's disease and ALS, as well as managing multi-project scientific research. Joanna's educational background includes a PhD from The University of Queensland, a Master's degree from Technische Universität Dresden, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wroclaw, complemented by various workshops and leadership training in research commercialization and entrepreneurship.
