Shannon Best is a seasoned research professional with extensive experience in the field of cellular and T cell therapeutics. Currently serving as a Senior Research Assistant at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute since August 2017, Shannon focuses on research and development alongside quality control assay development in a GMP facility. Previously, from 2010 to 2017, Shannon held the position of Quality Control Officer at the same institute, overseeing cellular therapeutics integrity and quality control. Prior roles include Research Assistant and Laboratory Manager at The University of Queensland, where responsibilities encompassed planning experiments, managing laboratory functions, and training personnel. Shannon began a research career as a Research Scientist at the University of Melbourne from 2001 to 2007. Education includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Melbourne.
