Derek Harris

Derek Harris is a highly experienced Principal Design Engineer currently with QinetiQ US since June 2018, where previous roles included Senior Design Engineer. Prior to QinetiQ, Derek worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer across various companies including GCR Professional Services, Superpedestrian, Vionx Energy Corporation, Ogin, Inc., and Randstad Technologies US, contributing significantly to mechanical design and production processes. Derek's expertise spans the design of power conversion equipment, energy technologies, and aerospace applications, with a solid foundation in CAD management from a tenure at Satcon Technology Corporation. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and an Associate of Science in Computer Aided Design from TAD Technical Institute.
