Alfredo Giani

Alfredo Giani has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Alfredo began their career as a freelance research engineer at Promete Srl and later moved on to work as a research fellow at the Department of Information Engineering - University of Padua in Italy. Alfredo then joined IT+Robotics Srl as a freelance research engineer before becoming a research engineer at Mitsubishi Electric R&D Centre Europe - Guildford UK - Visual and Sensing Labs. Alfredo then worked at Imagination Technologies as a design engineer for a period of seven years. Alfredo later served as a data scientist at Sportable Technologies Ltd before transitioning into a role as a software engineer at FilmLight. Alfredo then worked as a senior software engineer at Kelvin Hughes (A Hensoldt Company) and TP Group plc. Currently, Alfredo is employed as a Principal Engineer at QinetiQ.

Alfredo Giani holds a PhD in engineering and applied sciences from the University of Southampton, which they completed between 1998 and 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a Laurea in electronic engineering from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, from 1989 to 1997. In addition to their degrees, Alfredo Giani has also been certified as a ScrumMaster® by the Scrum Alliance in December 2023.
