Chris P. Hsu

Mr. Hsu is an experienced CEO, C-level executive, and Board Member with a proven 26-year track record as a highly effective and strategic business leader. Chris has driven results and business performance across a diverse set of industries and organizations in an international context as both an adviser and a P&L owner. He has a unique ability to build, lead, and manage teams and to mobilize people and organizations around a common vision and to drive change. He is experienced in M&A and divestitures.

In addition to joining Fractal Industries as member of our Advisory Board, Mr. Hsu currently serves on the Board of Directors at Neustar, Inc. and is an Advisory Partner for the venture firm a16z (Andreessen Horowitz).

Previously, he was the CEO of Micro Focus, a $4B revenue enterprise software company that included mission critical security software; EVP and GM of the Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Software Division; and EVP Chief Operating Officer of HPE where his responsibilities included IT and Cyber Security. Also, Chris was a Managing Director and Private Equity Operating Partner in the KKR Capstone Operating team following his tenure as an Associate Principal at McKinsey and Company.

Mr. Hsu graduated as a Distinguished Cadet from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical Economics and a minor in Mechanical Engineering. He graduated first in his class in both Social Sciences and Men’s Athletics. After completing his military tenure as a US Army Captain and his early career training as a brand manager at General Mills, he obtained a MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, where he graduated with Distinction (4.0 GPA) from the Four Quarter Accelerated MBA program and was selected by the Marketing Department Faculty for the Richard M. Clewett Award for Top Student in Marketing.
