Cyber Security Engineer at QOMPLX

Connor Shade has been working in the technology field since 2016. Connor began their career as a Technology Intern at the Jersey Shore Area School District. In this role, they performed work orders, answered internal customer inquiries, supported server management, and wrote and documented internal tools. Connor also wrote a Java program for parsing and combining information from multiple .csv files that did error checking and data repair, and flagged inconsistencies for review. In 2020, they moved to the United States Department of Defense as an Intelligence Specialist. Currently, they are employed as a Cyber Security Engineer at QOMPLX, Inc., a position they have held since 2022.

Connor Shade obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computing Security from the Rochester Institute of Technology between 2017 and 2020. Connor also holds four certifications: MTA: Networking Fundamentals and MTA: Security Fundamentals from Microsoft obtained in July 2016, CompTIA Network+ ce from CompTIA obtained in June 2016, and GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) from GIAC Certifications obtained in 2021.
