Omkar Padhye

Omkar Padhye is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Qorvo, Inc. since July 2022, specializing in mechanical designs and finite element analysis (FEA) to optimize MEMS-based human-machine interface experiences. Prior experience includes roles as a Simulation/FEA Engineer at Hillrom, where responsibilities involved analyzing structural performance of patient support systems using ANSYS, and as a Development Engineer at Zimmer Biomet, focusing on regulatory compliance for orthopedic implants and conducting extensive FEA projects. Earlier, Omkar served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Rush University Medical Center, developing anatomical FEA models, and as a CAE Engineer at Tata Technologies, where FEA models were created for Jaguar and Land Rover. Omkar began the career as a Mechanical Engineer at Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd, overseeing design modifications of diesel engine prototypes. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor of Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
