Caroline Hanotiau

General Counsel at Qover

Caroline Hanotiau is currently the General Counsel at Qover. Prior to this, they served as Regional Counsel EMEA/APAC at SWIFT from June 2008 to May 2021. In this role, they managed the SWIFT legal department in EMEA/APAC, providing legal support to the EMEA/APAC SWIFT offices on commercial, product development, pricing, (cyber) security, compliance and contentious matters. Caroline also monitored of regulatory developments in the technology, telecommunications, payment and financial services area, and supported the Board Secretary and Executives on governance matters with a specific expertise on Belgian and European company law.

In addition, Caroline played a global legal management role for the Cloud Initiatives, Messaging Interfaces and Professional Services Division. In this role, they supported multi-disciplinary teams worldwide to identify and address legal opportunities/obstacles to deploy new technology and services portfolio. Caroline also managed and coordinated the legal and compliance efforts on complex private and public procurement projects.

Finally, Caroline developed legal and compliance internal policies and training programs with a focus on anti-trust, privacy, sanctions/export controls. Caroline also created legal self-help tools and a legal proximity desk, and trained legal ambassadors.

Caroline Hanotiau has a law degree from the Université catholique de Louvain, a field in American and International law from The Academy of American and International Law, and an evening business training from the ULB Entrepreneurship Center (ECULB - ULB/SOLVAY). Caroline also has a Master in Cultural Management from the Université libre de Bruxelles and is currently a Candidature in Law at Université Saint-Louis - Bruxelles.

They are on a team with Pierre Willaert - VP, New Verticals Expansion & Risk Carriers Management, Nico François - CTO, and Jean-Charles Velge - Co-Founder & Chief Marketing Officer. Caroline Hanotiau reports to Quentin Colmant, Co-Founder & CEO.
