Malcolm Rollins has extensive experience in the life and health sciences industry. malcolm began their career in 1994 as a Project Leader at Alberta Research Council, where they established a vaccine development group and coordinated vaccine development projects. In 2001, they became a Technology Transfer Officer at Queen's University Belfast, where they evaluated life and health science inventions, marketed inventions to potential licensees, and developed commercialization routes. In 2002, they moved to Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) as a Section Leader, Fermentation Technologies Section. In 2006, they were a Section Manager, Process Development and Manufacture at QSV Biologics, where they managed contract manufacturing of GMP bacterial and insect cell production systems. From 2007 to 2009, they were a Technology Transfer Manager at University of Saskatchewan and Durham University, United Kingdom, where they evaluated life and health science inventions, marketed inventions to potential licensees, and developed commercialization routes. In 2012, they became a Viral and Bacterial Vaccine Production Manager at Novartis Animal Health Canada Inc., where they managed upstream GMP manufacture of viral and bacterial antigens and single use bioreactors for cell cultures and virus infection. From 2015 to 2021, they were a Senior Scientist Fermentation at Biovectra Inc. and a Director, Chemistry, Manufacture and Control at Qu Biologics Inc.

Malcolm Rollins obtained a BSc in Plant Physiology from Queen's University Belfast between 1975 and 1979, followed by a PhD in Plant Biochemistry from the same university between 1979 and 1983.
