Mar Moreno González

Mar Moreno González is a Project Scientist at Quadram Institute, with expertise in studying the molecular mechanisms that regulate the gut and liver axis, as well as the impact of microbiota on intestinal and liver diseases. Skills include Western blotting, DNA, RNA and protein extraction, RT-PCR, qPCR, electrophoresis, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, flow cytometry, genotyping, and data analysis. Prior experience includes positions as an Erasmus+ Research Assistant at the University of Warwick, focusing on bacterial resistance to antibiotics, and at NIAB EMR, working on apple breeding and genetic resistance to fungal diseases. Earlier roles involved molecular genetics analysis at the Centre of Selection and Animal Reproduction and microbiological quality control at University Hospital of Asturias.
