Raphaëlle Palau is a Project Scientist at the Quadram Institute since August 2018, specializing in the characterization of bacteria and antimicrobial resistance in the food chain using microbiology and molecular biology techniques. Previously, Raphaëlle worked as a Crop Analyst at The James Hutton Institute from February 2014 to August 2018, focusing on sustainable agricultural practices and their impact on major Scottish crops. Earlier roles included Research Assistant positions at The James Hutton Institute, where responsibilities ranged from genomic sequencing applications in potatoes to key contributions in high-spec projects. Raphaëlle also worked as a Research Assistant at Laboratoire de Recherche en Science Végétales, studying gene comparisons in Eucalyptus species. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Bioengineering-Biotechnology from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III and earlier studies in microbiology and cellular biology.
