Charles Haahr, PE has extensive work experience in engineering, specializing in substation design and project management. Charles began their career as an Engineer at Westar Energy in 1993, where they worked until 1999. Charles then joined Florida Power & Light as a Senior Engineer for a year before moving to Progress Energy Florida, where they served as a Lead Engineer for six years. During their time at Progress Energy Florida, Charles designed and managed the installation of substations for both internal and external clients. In 2005, they joined Sega Inc. as a Project Engineer/Lead Engineer, where they were responsible for the design and management of substations, including project coordination, drafting, and material specifications. In 2011, Charles became the Lead Engineer at Westar Energy, and a year later, they joined Qualus as the Director of Engineering. In this role, they oversaw all engineering activities and was responsible for delivering technical solutions to support customers.

Charles Haahr, PE has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Washburn University, which they obtained from 1995 to 1998. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering at Kansas State University, graduating in the years 1989 to 1993. Additionally, Charles Haahr has certifications as a Professional Engineer from both the Kansas State Board of Technical Professionals and the Florida Board of Professional Engineers.
