Gary Tohms

Gary Tohms is an experienced professional in the field of electrical substations, currently serving as the Lead Relay Field Technician at Qualus since November 2022, focusing on testing and commissioning electrical substations. Prior to this role, Gary held positions at Shermco Industries as Area Supervisor/Senior Lead P & C Tech from February 2015 to November 2022, overseeing job pre-planning and ensuring operational compliance. From July 2011 to February 2015, Gary worked as Lead "A" Substation Technician at CANUS Corporation, commissioning high voltage substations and verifying protection logic. Earlier experience includes roles with Cleveland Public Power from July 2009 to July 2011 as Electrician/Relay Tech, and as Qualified Switchman/Relay Tech at NASA from July 2006 to July 2009. Gary holds a Journeyman Inside Wireman degree in Electrical Installation from NJATC IBEW LU38.
