Akshaya Sharma

Akshaya Sharma has a strong background in data engineering and software development. Akshaya began their career as a Software Engineer at Apple, where they worked as a contractor for Infosys from June 2000 to August 2006. Akshaya then joined HP in August 2006 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they led a technical team and implemented process controls to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. Akshaya worked at HP for six years before moving on to Hortonworks in October 2012, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Hadoop development and support. At Hortonworks, they provided expert assistance to customers in building and maintaining their Hadoop clusters. Akshaya then joined Netflix in November 2013 as a Sr. Data Architect, focusing on the design and implementation of BigData solutions. After two years with Netflix, they joined Uber in January 2016 as a Data Engineer, contributing to their data engineering efforts until February 2018. Since then, Akshaya has been working at Quanergy as the Director of Data Engineering (AI) and Senior Director of System Solutions and Data Science and Engineering.

Akshaya Sharma completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Akshaya attended the institute from 1996 to 2000.
