Marc Gallant

Marc Gallant is a highly experienced perception engineer and software developer with a strong background in robotics and aerospace engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Perception Engineer at Quanergy Solutions Inc. since August 2025, Marc leads the design and implementation of advanced object detection and tracking systems. Prior roles include Staff Software Developer and Localization Team Lead at Avidbots Corp., where responsibilities involved architecting global localization systems for robots and managing localization projects. Previously, Marc held positions at Cepton and Quanergy, focusing on developing and deploying LiDAR-based algorithms and multi-lidar systems. Marc's early experience includes a Young Graduate Trainee role at the European Space Agency and a research position at the National Research Council Canada. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Robotics from Queen's University and two degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Carleton University.
