Tomoyuki Izuhara

Tomoyuki Izuhara is vice president of engineering. Dr. Izuhara oversees the development of Quanergy’s complete line of LiDAR sensors, including the revolutionary and industry-leading solid state LiDAR. He leads a diverse engineering team to conceptualize and deliver 3D sensors with superior performance and high reliability for a number of applications including autonomous vehicles and security. Dr. Izuhara has been an engineering leader in the industry and brings more than 14 years of experience in semiconductor photonics technologies. Before joining Quanergy, he led product development of highly integrated optical devices in the telecommunications industry in companies such as DuPont. Dr. Izuhara holds a Ph.D. and Master’s degree in optical engineering from Columbia University, as well as a Master’s degree in physics from Kyoto University.
