Shilo Neveu

Shilo Neveu has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Shilo started their career as a Loss Prevention Supervisor at PCL Construction, where they oversaw EHS operations on various projects and ensured EHS excellence. Shilo then worked as a Student At Law at Reynolds Mirth Richards & Farmer LLP before becoming a Regulatory Lawyer at McLennan Ross LLP, specializing in Construction, Regulatory, and Occupational Health and Safety Law. During their time at McLennan Ross LLP, they also obtained a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation.

After that, Shilo Neveu founded their own firm, Neveu Law, which focused on labor and employment law, specifically in Occupational Health and Safety Law. Shilo later joined BTCHN HSE Strategies & Solutions Inc. as Co-Owner and President, providing Health Safety and Environmental consulting services. Additionally, they worked at Carson Integrated as a Senior Corporate OHS Specialist & Corporate Legal Counsel, where they helped build superior Occupational Health & Safety and corporate management systems.

Shilo Neveu also has teaching experience as a Sessional Instructor and Program Developer at the University of Alberta, where they taught courses on Health and Safety Law, Managing Contractor Safety Performance, Disability Management, and Fire Safety Program.

Most recently, they have held various leadership roles within the Valard Group of companies, including Executive Vice President Health, Safety, Environment & Quality, Executive Vice President Health, Safety & Environment, Senior Director of Corporate Health, Safety and Environment, and Director of Corporate Health, Safety & Environment.

Currently, Shilo Neveu is working as the Canada Regional Director of Health & Safety at Quanta Services, Inc., where they provide strategic safety direction and support to all Canadian Quanta Services companies.

Shilo Neveu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Policy and Economic Sciences from the University of Alberta, which was obtained between 1995 and 2000. Shilo furthered their education by completing a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law at the University of Saskatchewan from 2004 to 2007. Shilo Neveu also pursued Bar Admission at the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education from 2007 to 2008. Additionally, they obtained certifications as a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) from USOLN in 2017 and as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional from the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals in 2003.
