Senior Computational Scientist at Quanterix

Matthew Stanfield is a Senior Computational Scientist at Quanterix since September 2021. Prior to this role, Matthew was a Computational Scientist at UC Irvine from 2017 to 2021, where Matthew was a Graduate Student Researcher. During their time at UCI, Matthew studied nonlinear optics and laser-plasma interactions, with a focus on the nonlinear optical effect self-phase modulation. Additionally, Matthew developed a technique to create a few-cycle laser, significantly increasing the peak intensity of the laser. Matthew also worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the University of Washington from 2014 to 2015. Matthew holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from UC Irvine and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Washington.
